NorthPointe Resources Receives New Minivans

Staff members are thankful for the safety and accessibility that the new minivans provide.

NorthPointe Resources is the proud recipient of three paratransit minivan vehicles awarded through a grant from the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) Consolidated Vehicle Procurement program. “The addition of three new vehicles allows us to transport even more NorthPointe program participants to community activities, volunteer opportunities and appointments. The new vans looks so nice and are easy to use. The ramp provides accessibility for a person who uses a wheelchair to ride safely and comfortably,” said Kristin Krok, Director of Day Program at NorthPointe Resources.”

Staff member Regina Peet is all smiles as she helps clients with the new minivans.

Staff and residents are equally grateful for this generous gesture. ”We are so excited because the new para-transit vehicles allow us to provide transportation to even more people with disabilities including those who use assistive devices,” stated Deb Rabine, Director of Development at NorthPointe Resources. The vehicles are valued at approximately $41,000 each for a total of $123,000.
